【Title】Some thoughts about publishing
【Speaker】Prof. Stein W. Wallace, Norwegian School of Economics, Bergen, Norway
【Host】Dr. Lei Zhao
【Time】December 23, 2014, 14:00 – 15:00
【Location】Room 412, Shun-de Building
【Abstract】
The purpose of this presentation is to give some advice on the publication process, focused on those with limited experience. I will point out what are the main mistakes made by those who fail repeatedly. What characterizes papers that are desk rejected? We shall see that it is not generally a question of "quality", but rather of framing and presentation. It is hoped that the audience will bring in its experience, and enrich the discussion.
